Every year the KCACR asks that each of its districts should aim to raise £1000 for the Bell Restoration Fund. For the past few years, Sonya Gowdy has organized and run a raffle, which has raised considerable sums for the BRF. Unfortunately, Sonya isn’t able to run a raffle this year, or the other fund raiser, the quiz night. However, if every tower in the district gave at least £27 to the Bell Restoration Fund, then our district would raise more than £1,000. Following a discussion with other district committee members we would ask towers to consider making a donation to the BRF. Towers in the Rochester district benefit regularly from grants given by the BRF, so it is important that we do try to raise this money. Cheques should be made payable to “The KCACR Bell Restoration Fund”, and sent to Derek Gowdy, District Treasurer. We hope to run the Grand Draw again in 2008, and anticipate that tickets will be available from June, with the draw taking place at the Annual District Meeting in October.
